Description

Timmendorfer Strand Storm Jersey

I retired from German hockey in 2001 with 1997 points after 16 years. I had my jersey retired in 2003 in Timmendorfer Strand along with my good friend Mark MacKay. Timmendorfer Strand is in North Germany and is located on the Baltic Sea. Timmendorf is one of the main clubs I had played for and was player/coach for 6 years. One of my very good friends, Andy Marlie, was playing for the 1b team, Timmendorfer Strand Storm in 2012 and invited me to play for the club. We would use this one game on March 4, 2012 to attempt getting me three points for 2000. I agreed to do this even though I was 52 and the players on the other team were 18-35. I wanted to show everyone, nothing is impossible if you believe. I also wanted to promote StopConcussions Germany with the public relations this would create. I had the names of my friends who had suffered from concussions or Neurotrauma print on the back shoulder area: Eric Pelly, Keith Primeau, Robert Vielfaure, Barry Munro, Marc-Andre Emond, Andrew Zaccardo, Travis Zarillo-Colley, Ryan Durham, Tracy Kyne and Kurt Gengenbach.

I scored 1 goal and 2 assists and thanks to Andy I achieved my dream.
